*Apologies for cross-posting* --- REGISTRATION CLOSES on 15 October --- Classification and Visualization: Interfaces to Knowledge" International UDC Seminar 2013 - will take place on Thursday 24 - Friday 25 October in the National Library of the Netherlands, The Hague The 2013 Seminar addresses the issue of visualization, which is at the heart of the information discovery problem and an issue of concern for all knowledge classifications. The selection of 20 presentations captures the width and depth of problems that are shared between two seemingly distant research specializations: classification and visualization. By covering diverse visualization topics such as solutions for browsing classifications on tablet computers, building visualizations that can exploit classification as linked data and the theoretical foundations of visualization in information science - the conference programme seems to be a true representation of research interests at this very moment. The conference programme features many eminent speakers.
