Hello, I'm Chelsey and I work on creating interactive content at Cognella Academic Publishing. We're an academic publisher focused on the higher ed market. I personally prefer epubs to pdf books so I joined the community group to learn more about the latest developments in hopes that I can be an agent of change at my company.

I am the author of EPUBs for Wiley that feature interactive exercises for introductory programming: code and algorithm tracing, memory diagrams, auto-graded programming exercises, and so on. Currently, the books use VitalSource's precursor to the "EPUB for Education" API ( https://w3c.github.io/publ-cg/education/epub-education.html#javascript-apis).
I believe such interactive elements are a very powerful tool in the education market and am keenly interested in seeing them standardized.
