@janvoskuil I do not see that prov:Attribution "_implies by definition that the attributee was directly involved in the activity that generated the entity and bore some responsibility for that activity_". The definition of prov:Attribution seems to make it explicit that it can apply when the activity is unknown or irrelevant: "_Attribution is the ascribing of an entity to an agent. When an entity e is attributed to agent ag, entity e was generated by some unspecified activity that in turn was associated to agent ag. Thus, this relation is useful when the activity is not known, or irrelevant_."
