@kcoyle making definitions terser is a good idea - but this example 

dct:conformsTo
Definition: | An established standard to which the described resource conforms.

the defintion is actually about the object of the relationship "An established standard " and not about the relationship itself.  
"identifies an established standard..." makes the definition about the relationship.  Nevertheless is it possible to put concrete proposals in separate issues so we can vote on them - in general happy to accept most wording improvements but cannot process a multi-threaded issue.
