The definitions now in the [Editor's Draft](https://w3c.github.io/dxwg/prof/) (and the 2PWD) are in line with the suggestions here although the definition has been changed to ensure the alternative-ness of the identifier, v. the URI, is indicated: **def:** A preferred alternative identifier for the Profile **note:** A simple lexical form of identifier that may be accepted in some circumstances, such as API arguments or in content negotiation, to reference a profile. This is a “preferred term”, since alternative identifiers may be declared and used by any implementation @heidivanparys are you happy with these? -- GitHub Notification of comment by nicholascar Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/issues/723#issuecomment-558060066 using your GitHub account
