@tombaker this statement is not consistent with the examples already provided: "Everyone has been acknowledging that real-existing profiles today are overwhelmingly stand-alone things". It has been discussed at length in this thread already and clearly the opposite case is demonstrated and acknowledged ( @kcoyle "There is logical semantic "inheritance" ") Can you please move that discussion to a new issue if you want to bring evidence that you believe refutes the existing Use Cases. Nothing stops a community disallowing profiling by policy - or requiring that profiles have validation resources that combine all inherited requirements. Such specific choices do not affect the model in the general case as long as they are supported. In anycase @kcoyle indicated this issue should have been closed because its gone off topic - and i indicated it should be closed because the the original point was taken on board, discussed, a proposal accepted without dissent and changes included in the 2PWD. New feedback is required to reopen this surely? BTW Github issues persist - this was a interesting discussion but its not useful as a actionable issue going forward. -- GitHub Notification of comment by rob-metalinkage Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/issues/486#issuecomment-524493616 using your GitHub account
