Dear all, If you get two copies of this e-mail, one via Bcc, it's because you're a member of the W3C Data on the Web Best Practices WG who we haven't heard from in a long while, in some cases, ever. And we'd love to hear from you. Please be aware that the WG is now in its very final stages and that, by virtue of your membership of the WG, you are associated with this work - and we really need you to be aware of what's going on. In summary: We are dealing with comments received concerning the Best Practices Document and expect to complete that process is the coming 7 days. The closing date for comments given in the doc is actually this Sunday although we'd accept them early next week as well. On Friday 24th we expect to vote to seek transition to Candidate Recommendation. So three things to say: - If you can review the BP doc [1], please do so and send your comments to the list in the coming days. - If you don't have time or inclination to review the document fully - and it does contain a *lot* of information - then we need your help to assess whether, in your view, we are unlikely to be able to gather implementation evidence for individual BPs that therefore we should mark as a feature at risk (i.e. that *might* be taken out of the final version). - We have also created two vocabularies [2,3], one concerning dataset usage, one for describing data quality. Feedback and comments on those are also needed although those are not on course to become Recommendations. We are well past the point where we can accept any major changes, but it will soon be late even for minor ones so please do take a look at the documents that have been prepared at least partially in your name. Thanks Phil.
