Re: Status on Action-174 ?

Re the thought that maybe “data encoded in file formats is out of the scope" [of this working group], I’m not sure what you mean to refer to here. All data on the web is encoded in some type of file format, and if that’s out of scope we can all go home. Did you mean data that has no structure other than that needed to put it into a file format, like PDF and JPG? I would agree with that. It’s just really hard to define accurately, since some file formats impose a useful structure.
