Good. One addition. Lets include Corroboration of Sources - how many other Open Data Sources did you use to corroborate the data (with links) you are using. I realize that while the scope of the BP document is still being debated, I wanted to propose a "very rough draft" list of data usage best practices. I introduce this only as a means to illustrate what I think about when I think about data on the web best practices. WARNING WARNING WARNING Before sharing the list I must warn you that I have not validated this list against the current use case requirements. Again I only introduce this list only to spark conversation and for us to come up collectively with ideas about what data usage might be. WARNING WARNING WARNING Here is the list: 1. 1) Properly Citing Data Source when Conveying Results 2. 2) Exception Handling on the Web 3. 3) Tracking Usage History with Provenance 4. 4) Metadata and community vocabulary usage: a. Leveraging JSON, JSON-LD, RDF b. 5 star criteria evaluation 5. 5) Use of Validators for: a. Metadata b. Data Syntax c. Web transactions 6. 6) Advertising Usage a. Reporting Problems b. Rating Data from Usage Experience c. Describing how data was used. 7. 7) Search and Discovery Best Practices a. Use of catalogs b. Use of search engines Eric S.
