Hi all, I’m a researcher from the Safety Department at Hogeschool Zeeland, university of applied science in the Netherlands. Sorry for being so delayed to contribute this incubator group. I'm busy with developing an ontology for disaster management. Our field of concepts ranges from the pro-active to the after-care phase in the safety chain. Our starting point for research concerns flooding with extension to other hazard types in future. My main interests are: - an ontology as a backbone for our natural disasters knowledge base project. - content analysis, which need the description of concepts, asking for an ontology. - creating an international platform to establish this ontology. - finding software that supports the content analysis and by using that software contributing to the ontology. At the moment we have an experimental ontology used for the proof of concept of the knowledge base. This ontology concerns processes of human action through the entire safety-chain from pro-action to after care. The context and process triggering related concepts are looked upon as unstable. So you see that I’m quite busy with your theme. Soon I hope to figure out what I can add to your search. I'll follow your discussion and possibly after our summer recess I can show you about my efforts.
