Hi @reillyeon, thanks for the reply.

I see the logic and even sense in what you're attempting. Having said that, as you would be making a breaking change, could you please expand the scope to include what would be required, in a user-visibility, permissions sense, to support geolocation tracking in the background.

To destabilize the code-base, developer-base, and user-base once is surely better than multiple times?
