I feel we are making a choice between web developer & implementer preference and theoretical purity of the model. * Do we know web developers prefer and expect 1:1 mapping? * Do any of the platform APIs provide such 1:1 mapping? * Do web developers expect APIs that work for their use cases conveniently, or an API that maps 1:1 to the underlying sensor types? @tobie can you help answer some of these questions? I'd prefer us ship `UncalibratedMagneterometer` experimentally to developers to allow them to experiment with use cases such as [magnetic input for VR][1], and as a by-product of that collect more developer feedback, and adjust as needed.
