I posted v2 of my proposal for recursion that just involves
sh:valueShape and sh:and. [1] I've improved the text and added a
couple of diagrams.

This kind of recursion is what can be expressed with OSLC Resource
Shapes. It is a subset of what can be expressed with SHACL.
