I raised some issues, hoping to capture some of the big open questions. Here’s why this is useful. If Bob had a strong view on ISSUE-XX, then he could write up a proposed solution in an email or in the wiki, and then send the following magic phrase to the list, hoping that the chair puts it on the next call’s agenda: PROPOSAL: Resolve ISSUE-XX by adopting Bob’s design described in [Link] Then, after the next call, Bob can see who voted -1 on his proposal, and then argue specifically with these people to hammer out a compromise and revise his proposal.
