[css3-multicol] multicol-span-all-margin-nested-003 review

Hĺkon,

[test]

[reftest]
http://test.csswg.org/source/contributors/opera/submitted/multicol/multicol-span-all-margin-nested-3-ref.xht

The reftest claims that the black rectangular area should be 22em wide
but, after a long examination of related specs, I can not reach such
conclusion and, more important, I can not reach any conclusion about the
width of the rectangular area of/in the test. There is also no consensus
and no unanimity among user agents with regards to the width of the
black rectangular area. I wanted to propose a modified test based on it
but I can not.

When available width is not provided, then, right now, according to the
status of the spec (CR[1] or editor draft), anything - or nothing
"solid" - can happen.

In order to establish the used width of column boxes, we need a way to
figure out U (used width of multi-column element) before entering §3.4
Pseudo-algorithm [2] and how such U is supposed to be calculated,
defined is up to Basic Box Model [CSS3BOX] or the Intrinsic & Extrinsic
Sizing Module [CSS3-SIZING]) and even there, after reading §4.2 [3] and
§4.5 [4] of css3-sizing, things are still not clear.

So, I can not approve multicol-span-all-margin-nested-003 test right now.
