The 4 tests are relevant and useful because they clarify a somewhat weak edit of the spec with regards to table column width and cell padding. Right now, Opera 12.0 fails all 4 tests. I made sure those 4 tests had 2 columns and 2 rows and that those tests's reftest would be an already available and often reused reftest.
