I'm thinking about [Carousel project](https://github.com/flackr/carousel) and specifically [::scroll-marker](https://drafts.csswg.org/css-overflow-5/#scroll-marker-pseudo). When they are displayed as let's say navigation dots, I believe we want alt text to be based on counters (e.g. content: "" / image counter(dot_number))? Otherwise navigation would be useless since the content property is just empty "" for ::scroll-marker to look like a dot. @flackr @w3c/accessibility-specialists -- GitHub Notification of comment by danielsakhapov Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/10387#issuecomment-2225434371 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
