FWIW, I think that by default scroll-markers in an exclusive group should be given the tab role, with the scroll-marker-group having the tablist role (following the carousel guidance suggested for authors at https://www.w3.org/WAI/ARIA/apg/patterns/carousel/ ) and have a generated accessible name based on the number of items in the group (e.g. just as a radio button will tell you how many options you have). Of course allowing authors to set meaningful names based on counters would be a good improvement to allow authors to add more meaning than a generic "item" or "marker". -- GitHub Notification of comment by flackr Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/10387#issuecomment-2225716618 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
