That all makes sense to me, but what is the behavior when the author flushes style on the subtree using script? That is, for the sentence, "CSS animations and transitions within currently invisible content-visibility subtrees do not update their local times until visible." is there an implicit, "unless the author forcibly flushes style" (e.g. with `getComputedStyle`, `getAnimations` etc.)? -- GitHub Notification of comment by birtles Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/5611#issuecomment-709630472 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
