Hello - causal observer here! excited by this discussion. Since @AmeliaBR and @mirisuzanne already brought up the idea of yearly versions instead of major versions, I just wanted to introduce the idea of talking to TC39 to learn from their experience. No doubt many here already do so I'm not sure if my comment has any value at all, but AWB and Brian Terlson had [this fascinating exchange](https://twitter.com/awbjs/status/984546160277794816) last year where they discussed the pros and cons of the yearly release model (*not tagging them bc idk if they want to be involved*). If we do this, regardless if we call it CSS4 or CSS2020, we're gonna need a plan for CSS5 or CSS2021. Could do worse than learning from the experiences of TC39. imo keeping to a 5 year cycle minimizes churn while keeping the desired effects. -- GitHub Notification of comment by sw-yx Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/4770#issuecomment-586405191 using your GitHub account
