Agree. CSS3 came out when we were still doing float based layouts and vendor prefixes were everywhere. Grid, flexbox, variables, calc, and more along with how they were rolled out have dramatically changed the landscape of CSS and I totally agree it’s time to version up. In terms of _this is what developers should know,_ I’m curious if this can be an opportunity to do some housekeeping around some drafts that are widely implemented and used yet are still somewhat unstable. For example, the pure CSS parallax technique that relies on `transform-style` from the still in draft [transforms level 2](https://drafts.csswg.org/css-transforms-2/#transform-style-property) recently broke in Safari. Finalizing and adopting drafts like these would be nice. -- GitHub Notification of comment by scottkellum Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/4770#issuecomment-586083236 using your GitHub account
