A co-worker just pointed out that 5G is an interesting comparison. 5G means a lot of technical things, but picking one name helps to drive adoption in the real world. I've often thought of it like a suitcase with a handle. So many odds and ends go into these discussions, and they're all valid and important. We can't just ignore them. But it's good to have a way of saying "everything in this problem space can be encompassed (or at least referred to) by a single name."
