Hmm.. i don't actually have an answer for this but just wanted to note that until it's final, it's just not. Speculation may be wrong. Things actually historically shift between releases from early drafts to later ones (punted to next level). That said, as best we can I'd prefer stability of links over some special pattern. What the link 'is' doesn't seem to matter as nearly much as the fact that it's a link, also, our reasoning and pattern itself could be subject to change, so..
