If this was, as you note, an alarmist piece of faux-journalism, why boost
signal on it?

Your follow-on claim and question are no more helpful in furthering actual
technical dialogue than the alarmist article you posted without context or
critique.

If your goal is collaboration, please reconsider your technique. If your
goal is propaganda, please do that elsewhere as it is unproductive.
