Dear CCG, I'm pleased to share that the DID-Linked Resources (DLR) specification has received a significant set of updates over the past few weeks. The latest working draft is available here: https://w3c-ccg.github.io/did-linked-resources/ We believe the specification is now mature enough to move toward Final Report status within the CCG, with the longer-term goal of bringing it onto a formal standards track (whether at the DID WG or another suitable home). Before requesting that step, we'd welcome review and feedback from the group. Some notable changes in this revision: - Broader applicability across DID methods. The spec now includes concrete guidance for web-based methods (did:web, did:webvh), static methods (did:key, did:jwk), and peer methods (did:peer), in addition to ledger-based methods. - A new section on Binding Verification Mechanisms defines three patterns (ledger-validated, signature-based, and content-addressable) so that any DID method can adopt DLRs. - Proof property for non-ledger methods. A new optional proof property, conformant with VC Data Integrity, allows DID controllers using non-ledger methods to cryptographically bind resources to their DID without relying on a consensus mechanism. - Alignment with Linked VP. A new section describes how a Verifiable Credential published as a DLR can be surfaced as a Linked Verifiable Presentation, composing the two specifications for public credential discoverability. - Alignment with DID Resolution. The dereferencing algorithm has been updated to note the relationship with the PathService work in DID Resolution, ensuring the two approaches are complementary rather than competing. We'd appreciate any feedback, whether on the overall approach, specific sections, or areas we may have missed. Issues can be filed on the GitHub repo: https://github.com/w3c-ccg/did-linked-resources/issues Thank you, and looking forward to seeing this move along! Alex
