Article Share: Provably Forgotten Signatures

Hi All,

I just came across this blog post by one of our former CCG co-chairs, Wayne
Chang on "Provably Forgotten Signatures: Adding Privacy to Digital
Identity":
https://blog.spruceid.com/provably-forgotten-signatures-adding-privacy-to-digital-identity/
It proposes an approach to add privacy by upgrading existing systems to
prevent linkability (i.e. achieve unlinkability), as opposed to overhauling
them entirely. This proposal leverages confidential computing environments
(i.e. Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) on the issuer’s server-side
infrastructure) where the issuer can forget the values (e.g. digital
credentials and signatures) and provide proof of this deletion to the user.

Just want to share it since I think many of us in W3C CCG might be
interested to read it. I'll try to see if the author could hop on one of
the W3C CCG calls to lead the discussion as well.

Sincerely,
