I've still puzzled about how to best use Mastodon, as even though it may
look "twitter-like", in many ways, it socially fundamentally different.

In the meantime, I've had some success it following Mastodon people that I
follow on Twitter *IF* they have put their mastodon address in their name.
The tool I used is https://www.movetodon.org/. I've added my mastodon
address to my @christophera@mastodon.social
