Here is some news from my little bubble:

There seems to be some activity with Ceramic Network (
https://ceramic.network/), SpruceID (https://www.spruceid.com/) .

I have only been following the Ceramic Network because I've been building
with them. I first heard about them from ETHDenver in 2021 (
https://www.ethdenver.com/) . I have also seen Ceramic at  ETHGlobal Events
(https://showcase.ethglobal.com/).

I know I saw Wayne Chang on an ENS (https://ens.domains/) call (Youtube
Recording) with https://twitter.com/BrantlyMillegan .
I see that Wayne worked with Brantly et. al on
https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-4361.

Ceramic is working with CACAO,
https://github.com/ChainAgnostic/CAIPs/pull/74 , which appears inspired by
Wayne's work.

Twitter, hackathons and Ceramic's and SpruceID's discords appear to be
driving adoption.
