Thanks for the support! The term universal is meant to imply that the wallet can store any content that one might want in the wallet. As I said of the call when I presented a while back, we saw that crypto currency, identity and payment wallets were all storing some overlapping and non overlapping data. We intend to define a JSON data model for wallet content that will help with interoperability.. particularly in representing the private side of DIDs and VCs, for example, references to mnemonics or KMS solutions used to produce the identifiers or signatures. The current data model is based on JSON-LD (as are DIDs and VCs) however, CBOR-LD opens the door for the same data model to be used for IoT... And of course you can choose to use the JSON representations for interop, while relying on compact CBOR representations internally.
