Drummond Andrew Hughes offered the following for a Mac and I have successfully connected to a SIP connection. I have not yet tried to participate in the call with this setup. “I have changed to using ippi.com<http://ippi.com> as my free SIP service and the X-Lite client (free) for Mac - it seems to work well, andippi.com<http://ippi.com> is easy to configure “ J From: =Drummond Reed <drummond.reed@evernym.com> Date: Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 4:03 PM To: Kim Hamilton Duffy <kim@learningmachine.com> Cc: "W3C Credentials CG (Public List)" <public-credentials@w3.org>, Joe Andrieu <joe@joeandrieu.com>, Christopher Allen <ChristopherA@lifewithalacrity.com> Subject: SIP Client guidance (was: W3C Credentials CG Call Tue, April 24, 12 noon ET) Resent-From: <public-credentials@w3.org> Resent-Date: Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 4:01 PM Kim, glad to see the new SIP provider support and capacity. I'd love to help save money by calling in with a SIP client but have had very poor experience doing so. I know it's been asked before, but now that we're using Twilio, is there a client (in particular a Mac or iPhone client) that someone can recommend? The transition to a new upstream SIP provider (Twilio) has been completed. We now have "unlimited" dial-in capacity limited only by our corporate upstream/downstream bandwidth and latency as well as the audio mixing capacity for our bridge. We should be able to handle at least 75 simultaneous callers now. There is also a new local EU number for our friends across the pond. The new dial-in numbers are: US phone: +1.540.274.1034 x6306 EU phone: +33.9.74.59.31.06 x6306 The SIP dial-in still works as well (and we prefer people to dial in via SIP as it doesn't cost us money like the phone-based options above).
