Hey Credentials CG, An aspect of the work we're doing here revolves around the registration and management of Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs). The group expects that there will be multiple networks (DHTs, DLTs, etc.) that support DID management. Digital Bazaar is thrilled to announce the launch of the Veres One Testnet today. Veres One is a decentralized ledger for the registration and management of DIDs and conforms to the recently revised DID spec proposal. We are also announcing the launch of a universal DID client, whose goal is to be able to register, retrieve, and update DIDs on any DID-spec compliant ledger. Here is a short video that we have put together to explain and demonstrate the current capabilities: https://youtu.be/tQzQKZKF93w Our future plans for the did-client are to support the Bitcoin, Ethereum, Sovrin, and other ledgers that implement DID Method specs. We look forward to discussing this more with the folks at Rebooting the Web of Trust in Boston next week. -- manu -- Manu Sporny (skype: msporny, twitter: manusporny, G+: +Manu Sporny) Founder/CEO - Digital Bazaar, Inc. blog: Rebalancing How the Web is Built http://manu.sporny.org/2016/rebalancing/
