Name: Monica Baxter Burkitt Email: mnbaxter@yahoo.com Affiliation: Document: W2 Item Number: (none selected) Part of Item: Comment Type: general comment Summary of Issue: Applicability Comment (Including rationale for any proposed change): Currently only a few HTML sufficient techniques indicate that specific versions of HTML (or XHTML) are applicable. An example would be H73. It is applicable to HTML 4.01 and XHTML 1.x but not to HTML5 as the summary attribute is obsolete in that specification. Will this be done for more sufficient techniques? For example, H45 is not a technique for HTML5. (Although I do know that HTML5 is still in draft and there has been much discussion on longdesc). Or, for H63, the test states: "2.Check that all td elements that act as headers for other elements have a scope attribute." This isn't the case in HTML5 since scope on td has been deprecated. Will HTML5 be considered while it is still in draft? Proposed Change:
