Summary of Issue: Example Doc is XHTML, not HTML
Comment (Including rationale for any proposed change):
The first example says that it is HTML but the example document is actually declared as XTHML.  It is a minor nit since the document is using HTML techniques but it would be relatively easy to update the sample page to use HTML 4.01 DTD rather than declaring it as XHTML. 

Proposed Change:
Update the sample page to use HTML 4.01 DTD.
