The only side work I'm doing on this on responsive images - which is one of the biggest performance issues on the web. More support from the W3C would be welcomed there - by support I mean going out and talking to browser vendors to help standardize srcset and maybe picture (or something else). That work is progressing slowly but nicely. Here is a recent survey we conducted about the use of responsive image techniques (already over 300 responses!): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1LIbd9wiM7M_m-rUB85WAiGT-h8QUY-PRJwjiBRiuY4Y/viewanalytics A W3C workshop on responsive images would be an awesome start. > The following items are still without clear leader: > * Searching Web Apps: Chaals? Jonas? Mounir? > http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-closingthegap/2013Mar/0063.html I'm working on this already. But I need people to go out and talk to the App search providers to see if it's useful or not. https://github.com/w3c/manifest/issues/17 The above will appear in the manifest spec soon.
