Re: hit regions Firefox support update

Ian,

We have been discussing this with W3C Canvas API editors. I understand
where you are coming from but this creates a forked conversation for me. We
need a better way of synching with W3C efforts. This whole discussion
started with a W3C discussion on drawing the focus ring and was pulled into
a hit test testing discussion.

Please work to synchronize these efforts up. If you would do that I would
be happy to comply.

Could we _please_ keep discussion of the hit region stuff to the WHATWG
list? It's bad enough that the focus discussion happened over here and
thus caused a forking of the specs and a huge confusion for authors and
delayed implementations and so on. Let's not make the same mistake again
with addHitRegion().

If you want to discuss it, please discuss it where it was designed, so
that we don't have multiple forks again.
