I understand where you are coming from but this creates a forked conversation for me. We need a better way of synching with W3C efforts. This whole discussion started with a W3C discussion on drawing the focus ring and was pulled into a hit test testing discussion. Please work to synchronize these efforts up. If you would do that I would be happy to comply.
