https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=29157 Bug ID: 29157 Summary: Need a /status end point for wire protocol Product: Browser Test/Tools WG Version: unspecified Hardware: PC OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: WebDriver Assignee: public-browser-tools-testing@w3.org Reporter: james.h.evans.jr@gmail.com QA Contact: public-browser-tools-testing@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org Blocks: 20860 Target Milestone: --- There is a potential race condition in most shims and local ends, in that there may be some time between when a shim's process is launched, and it's HTTP server is ready to receive requests. Having a /status end point that a local end can poll to determine that not only is the executable started, but the HTTP server is correctly responding to requests.
