Hi BPWG participants, I have added Kai's report to the implementation report for the Mobile Web Application Best Practices: http://www.w3.org/2010/01/mwabp-implementation-report.html It did turn a few more lights in green, good :) Here is a short status. Remaining "red" lights ----- 5. Inform the User About Automatic Network Access We only have one partial implementation here. 6. Provide Sufficient Means to Control Automatic Network Access We have nothing so far. 28. Consider Mobile Specific Technologies for Initiating Web Applications 3 partial implementations. 35. Consider Use Of Canvas Element or SVG For Dynamic Graphics 1 implementation Remaining "orange" lights ----- 14. Aggregate Static Images into a Single Composite Resource (Sprites) 16. Cache Resources By Fingerprinting Resource References 17. Cache AJAX Data 24. Use Fragment IDs to Drive Application View 1 or 1.5 implementations. It shouldn't be too hard to find applications that use these techniques. 29. Use Meta Viewport Element To Identify Desired Screen Size 1.8 implementations. We can certainly argue that it's a pass. It shouldn't be too hard to find an application that uses the meta viewport element. Thanks, Francois.
