Ted, Here is a suggested agenda: Duration: 90-120 minutes (depending on available time) 1. Purpose Why do we need RPCs 2. Types of RPCs Fire and forget, Request-Reply. Multiple recipient. (More?) 3. RPCs vs pub/sub Understand when to use which mechanism 4. Interface Definition Languages FrancaIDL, YAML, other? Scalar vs. composite data types. 5. Gauge interest / Next Steps Tentative agreement on if we need RPCs or not, and how to proceed If desired, I can prepare a couple of slides to use as a backdrop for the conversation. Depending on the outcome, we can then decide in a regular weekly meeting if we want to implement the protocol in an expanded VISS, or delay and work it into a future W3C specification version.
