yes, that makes sense. If the popup gets closed, then the state would change to collapsed.

The UIA mapping says for “true” is:

Expose state of the pop-up activities as "expanded" or "collapsed" in the ExpandCollapseState property in the ExpandCollapse Control Pattern.

Isn’t it just “expanded”

And if aria-expanded is explicitly set to “false” it should be “collapsed” otherwise, it is not mapped.
