The current proposed outline looks odd to me:

Design Patterns Landmark Roles
Importance of Landmarks in HTML5
General Principles of Landmark Design
Step 1: Identify the logical structure
Step 2: Label each region
Step 3: Assign landmark roles to each region
Landmark Roles
Design Patterns and Widgets

Could we simplify this to something like:

Design Patterns
Landmark roles
