Yes, it is true. The geotagging is an extension (or two?). However, I think that there is no guidance for now to: 1. Embedd metadata in the Body 2. Represent geolocations I think that both these aspects are very important and they are very common use-cases (in the sense that thee are a lot of applications that have the goal to put objects on the map, but very few of them use annotation standards). > We're never going to enumerate all of the properties that might be wanted (like latitude and longitude in the example). Well ... even if the title is broad with the intention to illustrate the extension mechanism with a concrete example, the usecase is very concrete, and there are enough standards to represent geolocations: like GML for example: [GML](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography_Markup_Language) So ... of-course, one cannot specify the support for any possible metadata and standards, but I think that it will be very important to illustrate the mechanism of extending the Body to be able to carry embedded metadata represented in an existing (official or defacto) standard format. -- GitHub Notification of comment by gsergiu Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/web-annotation/issues/309#issuecomment-227164798 using your GitHub account
