Shane- Thanks for the update. FYI, I've been working this week to implement the w3c/web-platform-tests locally per the repository's readme. Plan was to then integrate your PR in my locally so I could comment positively on the PR. Ran into some issues with my local copy. Possibly you or Benjamin might have some suggestions. Try 1: Cloned the repository and was able to fetch and merge in your PR. WPT Web server started fine, found OpenSSL fine, etc. Brought up runner which then seemed to hang at the point of creating MANIFEST.json. The Debug logged the expected message: "DEBUG:manifest:Creating new manifest at C:\web-platform-tests\MANIFEST.json" Then logged that message again. Then nothing. It never did create the file. Try 2: backed everything out and re-cloned the repository to desktop. Same result (let run overnight just to be sure I wasn't being impatient). So, presumably I'm missing something. Running on Windows 8.1 (which may be part of the problem). Have not tried cloning the Spec-Ops version of the repository, but I assume we want this (and your PR) to work with the w3c/web-platform-tests. I notice that your PR has been closed (overnight US time) and that you'll be generating a new. In the meantime, do you (or Benjamin) have advice on what I might be missing when I try to run the WPT locally? Or how I might diagnose, or even bypass runner to understand further? My apologies. Quick update: I have been working to get the initial annotation-model framework pull requested accepted. The WPT keepers have requested I squash the commit messages, and I am working on that. Git is not my friend on this. I know that Benjamin has been working hard on the protocol stuff. That spec has progressed to CR now so there is added pressure. I do not think there has been much progress on additions to the test collection in the web-annotation-tests repository, but would be happy to be proven wrong.
