Re: Annotating All Knowledge Coalition

Thanks Doug for this info. I was mostly away from 'always online' location
over the last month and now catching up a bit.

Firstly, its great that a coalition this large is looking at annotation
seriously with people from this group to provide inputs regarding w3c work.

I would like to flag a concern the words in this sentence seem to raise.
It is the implication that "All knowledge" is what we have with "scholarly
publishing" of today.
Since we are looking into the scenario of diversity in literacy ( see
j.mp/cowlick-works ; also the discussions related to Wikipedia India that
lacks references to scholarly work that you maybe aware of ), I feel that
there is a need to mention this concern here.

On the other hand, we are indeed looking into annotation as the means to
get these different worlds connected.
