Cart, what response would you like us to formulate? Milton, regarding plagiarism, to give credit to ideas/discussions picked up on mailing list is a courtesy Researchers normally cite only published sources (that is, the excuse for not giving attribution is that a discussion is not a formal citable source) This is why I publish short papers summarizing the novelty points so that they are citable sources However, they are plagiarised anyway, because dishonesty is engrained in the academic system./ In many cases the mopre dishonest researchers are, the more rewarded with careers advancements Whistleblowers by contrast, those who denounce the plagiarism and malpractice, are systematically discredited and locked out of professional opportunities In many cases, real plagiarism, where the ideas discussed in posts are also published as formal peer reviewed scholarly publications with DOIs and then plagiarized (reworded, and maybe with an element of novelty added by the plagiarist for good measure) This is research malpractice Unfortunately, it is widespread I do not think W3C can do anything about it, other than offering the facility to publish reports with URLs Aw, I can hear at the back of my head Owen suggesting that stratML can be used to assert the prior art of any ideas if published using stratML. Maybe so. The problem is that enforcing the plagiarism complaints requires enourmous amount of resources and time - we are busy trying to get the novelty written up and accepted So, lets try to update and advance our agendas anyway, whatever the cost P On Wed, Aug 3, 2022 at 10:37 AM carl mattocks <carlmattocks@gmail.com> wrote: > Greetings > > I think we can all agree that Decisions are something that Humans and all > form of Automatons are expected to use. > > I would welcome thoughts on the KR that best facilitates Decisions. > > Decision Tree > Decision Table > Decision Model > Decision Knowledge Graph > Decision..other > > Carl Mattocks > > Carlmattocks@wellnessintelligence.institute > > On Sat, Jul 30, 2022, 12:24 AM ProjectParadigm-ICT-Program < > metadataportals@yahoo.com> wrote: > >> Some interesting articles and links: >> >> A Standard Model of the Mind: Toward a Common Computational Framework >> across Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, and >> Robotics >> https://ojs.aaai.org/index.php/aimagazine/article/view/2744 >> >> https://ojs.library.carleton.ca/index.php/cmcb/index >> >> >> https://theconversation.com/cross-pollination-among-neuroscience-psychology-and-ai-research-yields-a-foundational-understanding-of-thinking-162412 >> <https://ojs.aaai.org/index.php/aimagazine/article/view/2744> >> >> >> What is missing is knowledge representation and formal systems that can >> be used for modeling that factor in perception, networks of interacting >> processes, and quantum processes in neural network activity. >> >> The convergence of quantum computing and AI will require we take a hard >> look at how to reconcile quantum biology, computational biology, >> neuroscience, cognitive science, formal modeling and knowledge >> representation. >> >> Milton Ponson >> GSM: +297 747 8280 >> PO Box 1154, Oranjestad >> Aruba, Dutch Caribbean >> Project Paradigm: Bringing the ICT tools for sustainable development to >> all stakeholders worldwide through collaborative research on applied >> mathematics, advanced modeling, software and standards development >> >
