Re: New Year 2021

Dear all,
Like most members of this W3 AIKR CG, I am strapped for time. Deadlines and an unfortunate backlog of last minute 2020 tasks.
Because AI-KR is part of some of my own institutional and personal academic efforts that need to be wrapped up by the end of January, I am more or less obliged to have the following on paper at months end.

- schematics for AI and KR, addressing both issues and academic fields and cross sectoral, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary themes and collaboration efforts- the role of planning in AI and KR
- the role and classes of bias found in AI and KR- the need for reducing the quantity and scope of examples used in machine learning and deep learning- ethics broken down in issues and themes in AI, KR and machine learning
It should be obvious that it will be a preliminary summary, open for debate, recommendations, additions and corrections.
In addition I will provide a global sketch of how the emerging technologies of edge computing and quantum computing will impact, contribute to, or provide synergy applied to AI, and how this reflects upon ethics and KR.

Hello Milton, Carl and allNew Year good wishes to youI have a list of AI KR related work including a few talks and publcations etc butsince there has been no intelligible participation from the group I have not pushed itI ll post a summary. This month I have so many deadlines plus a desire and need to get away from the computerI d suggest that the most meaningful suggestion that I remember of wasa public schema/model for a registry of ethical AI systemsthats something we could aim to contribute, but lost the grip on that topic as other things demand my attentionLet us know what you are thinkingBestPDM
