Re: Paper and talk in 2020, Arlington

Paola, I lived in the DC area for more than 40 years, including 10 on
Capitol Hill. However, in "retirement" we now live on Hilton Head
Island, 600 miles further south.

I don't want to take the lead in drafting a proposed presentation nor am
I certain that I can participate in delivering it if it accepted.
However, I will be happy to contribute and, depending upon how the
conference agenda shapes up, will consider attending if it appears to
offer the opportunity to advance the cause of open, standard,
machine-readable public records. For example, it would be nice to see
some indication that IAC will foster worldwide awareness and adoption of
the good practice set forth in section 10
<https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/open-machine-readable-government-owen-ambur/>
of the GPRA Modernization Act and, more generally, in the OPEN
Government Data Act (OGDA
<https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/open-gov-data-act-machine-readable-records-owen-ambur/>).

If this group does decide to offer a presentation, my initial
contribution is already available at
http://stratml.us/references/KR&StratML.pdf &
http://stratml.us/references/KR&StratML.pptx

Additional context is provided in this December 2014 draft best
practices document: http://stratml.us/references/AIIM-BP-StratML.pdf

This July 1999 paper addresses "6th Generation Knowledge Management:
Realizing the Vision in Working Knowledge": http://ambur.net/6thGenKM.htm

This 1997 IEEE conference paper is entitled "Metadata or Malfeasance:
Which Will It Be?//": http://ambur.net/MetadataOrMalfeasance.htm

BTW, I may wish to convert the conference agenda to StratML format to
demonstrate this use case: Conferences & Meetings
<http://stratml.us/carmel/iso/UC4SwStyle.xml#_8833b870-14c4-11e6-ac93-bf1cf9713b8c>
- Publish the agendas for significant conferences and public meetings as
performance plans and reports on the Web in open, standard,
machine-readable format. The purpose of that use case is to enable
value-added intermediaries to facilitate more productive collaboration
before, during, and after each event -- in support of more effective
realization the participants' common and complementary objectives. It
would be wonderful if someone could demonstrate such a StratML-enabled
application(s) at the conference.
