Action Items

  *   Matt, validate explainer is up-to-date

  *   Matt, verify folder name is ‘discoverable-destinations’ for the BP

  *   Matt, revise the extension

  *   Facilitator Adapt TF: Complete curation of the destinations list

Deliverables

In Priority order.


  *   BP Document: There is a best practices document, called WAI Adapt: Discoverable Destinations, that describes best practices (BP) how to implement DD.

     *   Draft by end of Jan’26.

     *   Potentially blocked by getting sign-off from COGA

  *   Front Window: There is a ‘front window’ pointing to the explainer and the BP.

  *   Reference DD Extension: There is an extension that demonstrates DD

  *   Explainer: There is an explainer that defends the adopted approach, and why other approaches were discarded. Done by end of Jan’26.

Significant Calendar Dates

  *   CSUN March 9, 2026

  *   W3C Breakouts Day, China, March 2026

  *   AC April 2026

  *   TPAC Dublin October 2026:

     *   We expect to “Shout about it” Socialize, publicize, demonstrate,

Tasks

  *   Curate the final list of destinations

  *   COGA meeting:

     *   COGA to give feedback on the list of destinations

     *   COGA to assent to Adapt’s prioritization of Destinations (e.g., items like ‘types of help’ remain on the Adapt Roadmap but are not addressed in the DD BP.

     *   COGA to be motivated to code or design the UX of DD implementation.

  *   Subsite decisions: How to handle sub-sites in the BP and the extension

     *   Sub-sites decision does NOT block our alpha versions of Explainer, BP

     *   Is required for our ‘beta’ or V1
