Dear Martin, dear all, My view is that the 3rd option you have identified: - no need to organise a GA as the PSO will not exist next spring- is the more realistic one. Nevertheless, we should have an identified fallback in case the Reform process takes longer than scheduled and the PSO remains alive. In my opinion, the location and dates of the GA should be publicly announced as it has been done so far. The two options you propose look fine to me. If I have to show a preference, mine will be for the dates and location of the World Wide Web Conference as they may attract more attendance. It is also the fact that it will take place in Europe, but this is a very egoist approach. I recognise that the GA has taken place in Europe in 2001 and 2002 and there could be complaints if it is hold in Europe 3 consecutive times. Location/date next PSO GA -- proposed by Martin Duerst Here is some background so that I don't have to explain everything during the teleconference: Being responsible for the PSO Secretariat this year, according to the MOU, W3C also has to organize the PSO General Assembly. Based on this, and the current ICANN reorganization, we are currently looking at three options: 1) Organize the GA in connection with our Technical Plenary meeting in Boston on or around Wednesday, 5 March 2003. 2) Organize the GA in connection with our Advisory Committee meeting in Budapest around 18-20 May 2003. The World Wide Web Conference is also held the same week in Budapest. 3) Decide that because the PSO is being turned down, there is no need to hold another GA. We would like to get your preliminary input on this topic. Regards, Martin. ___________________________________________________________________________ Este mensaje se dirige exclusivamente a su destinatario y puede contener información privilegiada o confidencial.
