Signature Bikeshedding: Component Name / Component Identifier

There’s been an issue raised (And associated PR provided) calling out the fact that “component identifier” is a little ambiguous in the signatures spec.

TLDR: the proposal is for us to define a “component name” which would then be combined with any additional parameters to create the “component identifier”. The purpose of this email is to raise awareness of this proposed change and to bike shed “component name” if necessary.
